Long Hollow Gardens

We are a two-generation Suburban Farm and greenhouse featuring Sustainable Award-Winning Wines, Plants, and Beautiful Weddings. Our core belief is that people and plants really have the same requirements of natural light, fresh air, and encouragement for growth.

Years ago we began quietly growing grapes in search of furthering the celebration of our family property. Our wines are incredibly unique because they are 100% Sustainably grown here and never supplemented. We are proud to offer four critically acclaimed varietals that redefine local wine and are worthy of any occasion. We offer them by tasting, flight, and bottle only right here.

We use non-GMO French-hybrid vines that are very well suited for our climate. This reduces the stress and chemical maintenance needed to grow quality wine grapes in this region. We are honored to announce all four of our wines were medalists at the 2023 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition.

We don’t use harsh chemicals like Glyphosate in our Vineyards. Instead, we opt for the expert instincts of Katahdin Sheep. Each Spring we move them via horseback from the Upper Vineyards to our Lower Vineyards during the Running of the Sheep. We encourage Owls and other predator birds to watch our Vineyards to reduce vole damage to the root systems of our Vines.

We rely on the expertise of Beechaven Winery for our custom crush. At their cue, we harvest by hand at dawn and deliver it to them the same day for immediate crushing. This dramatically reduces refrigeration and added preservatives.
